Manager Lamarr Rogers told railcatsbaseball.com “Jake is another highly evaluated player out of the MLBD in 2024.” and “He can play multiple INF positions as well as the OF. He’ll compete for a roster spot in mini-camp.”

I see Jake as a player that can make an impact right away. I asked a fan of the Slammers who was able to watch Jake play last season and he only played for just over 2 weeks and wasn’t very impressive. The small sample size doesn’t show to much but his slash line is either just below or above what the team did last year.

Allgeyer brings the element of versatillity as he can play most infield postions and out. He can hit from both side of the plate, has good speed and some good power, and not the kind of smashing homerun power but the abliltiy to get the ball into the gap and let his speed do the rest.

He is one player that I will really be intrigue with in the 2025 season a 5 tool player that might have some promise!

WELCOME TO THE SOUTHSHORE!
